The Lingvisticae Investigationes Journal - ISSN 0378-4169
International Journal of Linguistics and Language Resources
Lingvisticae Investigationes is a 35-year-old international journal founded by Maurice Gross. It publishes original articles dealing with the lexicon, grammar, phonology and semantics. It focuses on studies that are formalized to the point where they can be integrated into text analysis software, and on studies which describe resources such as grammars and electronic dictionaries constructed on a linguistic basis. Articles may deal with any language, though a large proportion are devoted to the study of French. The journal also publishes bibliographies, summaries of theses, reports, squibs and reviews. Contributions are in English and French. French-speaking authors are free to submit in French or in English.
Free online sample: volume 30:2 (2007).
The journal has an accompanying book series entitled Lingvisticae Investigationes Supplementa.
Lingvisticae Investigationes is listed in the European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH) for Linguistics, published by the European Science Foundation (ESF). It is indexed by the Modern Language Association (MLA), Linguistic Bibliography/Bibliographie linguistique, Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA), Inist/Francis, International bibliography of periodical literature (IBZ), International Bibliography of Book Reviews in Scholarly Literature in the Humanities and Social Sciences (IBR), Germanistik Online. It is listed as category A in the AERES list of journals in social sciences.
